Design + Process
We Use Real Wood.
We use a variety of woods such as cedar, white oak, cherry, walnut, ash, and alder woods. Every wood has different strengths and weaknesses. We’ll collaborate with you on the type of wood based on the application for your piece of furniture. Most importantly, our furniture is crafted with only Solid Wood.
Our Process is Thorough.
Wood Selection - We source our wood from a mill located in Kingston, AR.
Acclimation - After arrival, our wood is stored in a climate controlled room to acclimate properly so as not to cause movement.
Cutting - We cut our woods to size using precise saws and cutting tools.
Glue - We use wood construction adhesive glues and clamping to ensure strength in the joints. Our glues are actually stronger than the wood itself.
Hand Plane - Once the glue has dried we will flatten with a hand plane.
Sanding - We use several sanding methods to ensure the removal of grit and coarseness.
Staining & Treatment - Finally, we will hand mix and apply weather treatments, paints, stains, and polyurethane for a beautiful finished product.
We Ensure Durability.
We double up on joinery methods as needed. For example, on our table bases, we glue in a floating mortise and tenon, then install screws as an extra insurance that it won’t come apart. We want absolutely confidence in every piece of furniture that it won’t break or become vulnerable under intense amounts of pressure.
